What made the protest against the planned nuclear power plant in Wyhl so special? And so successful? An evening of stories and songs - with those involved in the resistance at the time.
What made the protest against the planned nuclear power plant in Wyhl so special? And so successful? Was it the colorful mix of urban and rural populations that came together in resistance? Was it fear and concern about the consequences of nuclear energy? Or was it the culture of protest, to which art and culture, theater and music were a natural part? And what does all this mean for today's resistance to climate change or the shift to the right?
An evening of stories, songs and conversations as part of the poster exhibition "50 years of the Wyhl anti-nuclear protest" aims to explore these questions. With memories shared by those involved at the time. With music of the resistance, which will be played live. And with a look into the present and the future. Discussion and music: Axel Mayer, Roland "Buki" Burkhart, Hubert Hoffmann and Eva Stegen.
Admission is free of charge. Prior registration is required.
