Sustainable mobility: hydrogen technologies at Fraunhofer ISE

Sustainable mobility: hydrogen technologies at Fraunhofer ISE

Fraunhofer ISE conducts research on the production, use and processing of hydrogen and is making a major contribution to the future hydrogen economy with this research and development. On June 13, 2023, the scientists of the Hydrogen Technologies division will give an insight into their work during the "Hydrogen Week". Raise the curtain on hydrogen and hydrogen technologies!

What makes the small molecule so special? And what can hydrogen be used for? How do fuel cells work? What role will hydrogen play in tomorrow's mobility: for airplanes, for trucks, for example, or even in waste collection? What substances can hydrogen be converted into and for what purpose? Is the production of hydrogen worthwhile in the region?

These and other questions will be answered by the scientists of Fraunhofer ISE at the Open House during the WEEK OF HYDROGEN. Lectures and a tour of the laboratories and the institute's own hydrogen filling station show the path from the production of sustainable hydrogen to emission-free driving - including one of the new hydrogen vehicles of the Freiburg Waste Management and Sanitation Department.
The two-hour program consisting of lecture, filling station and laboratory tours starts at 2 and 4 p.m. respectively. Participation is free of charge. We ask for your binding registration,
