Mysticism: Religion, Philosophy, Feeling or All One?
Saturday, 16/12/2023 / Waldhof e.V. - Academy for Continuing Education
On the one hand, the word "mysticism" is used almost inflationarily for everything that is considered mysterious, even opaque. On the other hand, it is argued that "mysticism," especially the mysticism of the great religions, shows different ways to the same deepest ground of all religions, indeed of all human existence. Thus "mysticism" could connect religions and people and let them become united in a peace-making way. But what is mysticism and is it universally represented? Do mystical paths lead to commonality or to conflict? Are mystical paths, meditative and contemplative aids to inner peace and serenity in the gears of this world?
