They moved all their household goods, bought old Ural motorcycles and set off for New York. For two and a half years, the five-member artist collective Leavinghomefunktion headed east. The Soviet machines made for leisurely progress and countless breakdowns - the best conditions for coming into close contact with the country and its people and experiencing breathtaking stories.
