Matinee: The Neolithic Revolution
Sunday, 04/05/2025 / 11:00 AM - 01:00 PM / Colombischlössle – Archäologisches Museum (archaeological museum "Colombischlössle")
Together with expert Pia Micheel, interested visitors can explore one of the most decisive developments in human history using regional finds at the archaeological museum "Colombischlössle": the sedentary lifestyle. Over 10,000 years ago, the so-called Neolithic revolution began in Mesopotamia, which also shaped Europe and our region. But why did people give up their lives as hunters and gatherers? What challenges did this change bring with it? The event will be accompanied by music from the Ardinghello Ensemble: Annette Rehberger and Sebastian Wohlfarth will play works by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Johan Halvorsen on the violin and viola. An event with the Friends of the Archaeological Museum e. V. Tickets cost 7 euros, concessions 5 euros. Tickets are available in the online store.
