Manuela Fuelle "We'll catch up"
Tuesday, 23/09/2025 / 07:30 PM - 09:00 PM / Stadtbibliothek (municipal library)
"You're like a daughter to me," she said. Two women, two generations and a friendship that grew over the years. With the illness and death of the older woman, the memories and stories of the younger ones begin to awaken. The chronicler of the family writes about her emotional heritage, interprets, rarely rejects: The death of her mother-in-law becomes the death of her own family ego - a rebirth awaits.
Manuela Fuelle, born in East Berlin, studied Protestant theology and literary writing. Her first novel "Fenster auf, Fenster zu" was published by Klöpfer & Meyer Verlag in 2011, followed by the episodic novel "Luftbad Oberspree" and the "Lexikon der Doppelwörter" by Derk Janßen Verlag. She has received numerous scholarships for her work and was awarded the Thaddäus Troll Prize in 2017.
