Live music & wine: Terrace concert with TEDDY SMITH TRIO

He has been writing songs and performing on stages around the world for more than a decade: born in Freiburg im Breisgau, Teddy Smith was already active as a rapper and beatboxer and has become a soul/blues singer and guitarist in recent years.

Since 2022, he has been performing with two friends in a classic trio line-up. Teddy Smith (vocals, guitar) is supported by Julian Höferlin (drums) and Daniel Barth (bass, vocals). Together they play their own compositions, which express Teddy's dedication to the music of black American culture with a concentrated load of power, pain and love. They also create dreamy melodies that echo his second passion, folk.
The trio is currently working on their first joint EP "Black Woods", which will be released in collaboration with the talented producer and multi-instrumentalist Jan Geuer in spring 2023. The title track "Black Woods" is a tribute to Teddy's hometown of Freiburg and the Black Forest. The EP tells of longings and hopes, which move stylistically fluently between folk and singer-songwriter.
