Art break: Hans Thomas self-portraits

Art break: Hans Thomas self-portraits

A short guided tour of the Augustian museum with art historian Adana Schulz focuses on Hans Thomas' self-portraits. Initially serious and challenging, later more considered and milder, the painter confronts us in the numerous variations of his self-portraits and demands his recognition. In addition to his self-image as an artist, he also reflects personal strokes of fate in these pictures and, with increasing age, addresses his own transience. Participation costs the regular entrance fee. The number of participants is limited.
