Art break: The palm donkey

Art break: The palm donkey

The palm donkey is one of the central symbols of the Easter story and the subject of a short tour of the Augustian museum. It commemorates the entry of Jesus into Jerusalem on Palm Sunday. Two historical sculptures that once formed the centerpiece of Palm Sunday processions are on display in the museum. Participation costs the regular entrance fee. The number of participants is limited.
