Art break: The self-portrait as self-assertion

Art break: The self-portrait as self-assertion

How did female artists stage themselves in their self-portraits in the 19th century? During the art break on the top floor of the Augustian museum, exhibition curator Mirja Straub will guide you through her presentation "Shown in the Light - Women Artists of the 19th Century". Using selected works, she will explain the significance of these self-portraits for art and society. Those interested pay the regular entrance fee. The number of participants is limited.
