Concert I Piaf
Au bal des Amours

Concert I Piaf - Au bal des Amours

Price: from 18.00€ to 22.00€

On the evening of March 27, Catherine Le Ray and Frédéric Langlais will take you on a musical journey back in time to Edith Piaf, during which her chansons will be sung and autobiographical stories told!

62 years after the death of the world-famous chanson singer Edith Piaf (ł10.10.1963), her chansons and her voice remain immortal and are a source of new interpretations. The well-known Parisian singer Catherine Le Ray and the virtuoso accordionist Frédéric Langlais would like to pay tribute to this eternal cult figure of the "chanson of love". With alternating French chansons describing Piaf's Paris and autobiographical stories in German, Catherine Le Ray awakens a life full of pain and euphoria in us, where experience and song intermingle, where poetry and truth merge. A musical delight not only for Francophiles, where classics such as "Milord" and "Je ne regrette rien" will not be missed.

"[...] without imitating, Catherine Le Ray sings with talent, passion, authenticity and charm [...] her remarkable performance moves the audience, it's fireworks!" - Ouest-France
"The petite Frenchwoman with the powerful voice was always reminiscent of the great Piaf [...] Catherine Le Ray sang and everyone hummed along [...]" - Süddeutsche Zeitung
