Children & youth, Festivals
klong
This year, the Freiburg Cultural Office and Theater Freiburg, in cooperation with the association "Mehrklang - Gesellschaft für Neue Musik", are once again organizing the Freiburg children's music festival klong for Freiburg schools from grades one to six. For one week, music is the only thing on the timetable in seven selected school classes as the pupils experiment musically with invited musicians in klong labs.
For the grand finale at Theater Freiburg, all music enthusiasts are invited to listen to the school classes as they give an insight into their cloning labs in front of a large audience.
The Philharmonic Orchestra and other musicians will also be on stage, including a performance of Sergei Prokofiev's musical fairy tale "Peter and the Wolf". In "Beat, Box & Recorder", Johann Sundermeier sings, beatboxes and improvises, supported by the recorder class of the Freiburg Music School. Hands-on activities invite visitors to experiment with music: Young and old listeners can play memory games with their ears at the Lausch-Oase. Or move together to the music in participatory dances. If you feel like it, you can build your own musical instrument. The youth art school transforms the theater's painting room into a very special workshop. And if you've always wanted to take a look behind the scenes, you can join one of two theater tours.

Admission is free for all events on July 6 in and around Theater Freiburg. Admission while seats last (free ticket on admission).
