Churches in Germany - where to?

There is no doubt that the church is in crisis, and not just in Germany. Shaken by scandals - abuse, financial transactions - the Christian churches have suffered an enormous loss of trust, as evidenced by the large number of people leaving the church, but aren't the structures of Christian institutions, especially the Catholic Church, also the cause of this development? But is this crisis also a crisis of Christianity? Is the crisis of institutions also a crisis of religion, whose claim appears to be outdated, even superfluous, in the age of secularization and free self-determination? What paths are still open for a future for religion and churches, for the individual and for society? Will the Christian of the future be a mystic, or will he no longer be?
