It's that time again: the 24th edition of the French school film festival "Cinéfête" starts in March and offers a varied program for young and old!

For the 24th time, the French-language film festival is touring German cinemas and bringing language lessons into the movie theater. The aim of the festival is to use films to get young people from Germany interested in the French language and culture as well as the francophone world. To this end, films on current topics are selected, which are accessible to pupils of all grades and schools in the original with German subtitles. Since its inception, Cinéfête has attracted more than 100,000 viewers every year to the 100 or so participating cinemas in a total of 80 cities in Germany.

In Freiburg, the festival will take place at Kino Harmonie from March 24 to 28. You can find the exact schedule for Kino Harmonie here.

A preview of the new program with eight films - as always in the original French with subtitles - can be found at https://cinefete.de/. Above all, there is a clear motto, appropriate for a time of upheaval in Europe and perfectly visually captured by the Franco-German protagonists who are the focus this year: If only we stick together, anything is possible. Admission is 5.00 euros per student. Admission is free for one teacher per class. The Harmonie cinema asks for collective cash payment or collective payment by EC or credit card.
