The Studienstiftung des deutschen Volkes will be 100 years old in 2025. At the anniversary concert, current and former Freiburg scholarship holders aim to inspire with a variety of sounds.
The German National Academic Foundation is the oldest and largest organization for the promotion of gifted students in the Federal Republic of Germany. It will be 100 years old in 2025. A scholarship initiative, sponsored by the Studienstiftung alumni association, is taking this as an opportunity to offer a special musical evening at the Freiburg University of Music on Saturday 26 April.
At this anniversary concert, current and former Freiburg scholarship holders will delight audiences with a variety of sounds ranging from baroque to modern original compositions. The program includes works by J.S. Bach, Schubert, Dutilleux and Piazzolla in interpretations with flute and organ, voice and guitar, cello, piano and electric harp ukulele. The concert begins at 6 p.m. in the Chamber Music Hall of the College of Music (Mendelssohn-Bartholdy-Platz 1). Afterwards, there will be an offer and an invitation to linger a while over champagne and snacks. Prior registration is not required, admission is free.
