Jazzfestival | Piano competition final round

The International Jazzhaus Piano Competition takes place every two years as part of the Jazzhaus Jazz Festival in memory of the founding chairman of the Jazzhaus and pianist Waldi Heidepriem and is increasingly gaining an international format of its own. Past winners such as Vincent Meissner, Florian Favre, David Tixier, Lajos Toth and Rainer Böhm attest to the quality of this high-priced piano prize with a total of EUR 5,000, as does the jury of Helge Lien, Helmut Lörscher, Julia Kadel, Michael van Gee and Olivia Trummer. The special thing about this competition is that the audience has a 40 percent vote in the final round.
