Jane's Walk through St. Georgen

Free entry

How are public places changing and how were they designed? How do I consciously perceive neighborhoods?

The network of female architects of the Freiburg Chamber of Architects invites you to a neighborhood walk through the Freiburg district of St. Georgen. Together with the participants, we would like to explore six public places that have undergone minor and major changes in recent years: Places that have been newly planned, given an improved use and/or created for the community. These worldwide neighborhood walks are named after the urban planner and author Jane Jacobs, who advocated urban planning on a human scale back in the 1960s. Jane's Walks are inspired by her and are intended to encourage people to explore their surroundings and look at them from different perspectives in order to make these places better for everyone.

Duration approx. 2 hours.

The event takes place in cooperation with the Freiburg-St. Georgen neighborhood office.
This event will be canceled in case of bad weather.
