Intercultural church service and subsequent celebration in Haslach

As part of the nationwide Intercultural Week, an intercultural church service will take place on Saturday, October 5, 6 p.m. in St. Michael's Church (Carl-Kistner-Str. 53), followed by a celebration in the "Carlsbau" parish hall (Feldbergstraße 3a) in Freiburg-Haslach. This was prepared, among others, by the mother-tongue Catholic Polish, Italian and English-speaking communities in the Freiburg deanery, as well as the Aramaic (Syrian Orthodox) community, which celebrates its services in St. Michael. Other congregations are welcome to participate spontaneously. During the service, hymns, Bible texts and prayers are recited in the various languages; the main language and sermon language is German. The collection from the service will go to flood relief in Poland. Spontaneous cultural contributions with food and drinks will be on the program at the subsequent party in the Carlsbau until 10 pm.
