Hermann Hesse's Narcissus and Goldmund. The polarity of drive and spirit (lecture)

The speaker, an internationally renowned Hesse researcher, will first give an overview of the biographical background of the novel and its relationship to other works by Hermann Hesse. He will then explain the development of the two characters in the novel, Narcissus and Goldmund, on the basis of C.G. Jung's psychology, which was very important to Hesse. The lecture will be followed by an opportunity for questions and a detailed discussion.
