We cordially invite you to the fourth evening in the "musik + wissen" series of events organized by the Freiburg Research and Teaching Centre for Music(FZM).

This year's guest is Prof. em. Dr. Heiner Gembris, a music teacher and music psychologist who headed the Institute for Talent Research in Music (IBFM) at the University of Paderborn for many years and who has written and published important books and research papers on musical development. He will speak on the subject of "Musical development from a lifespan perspective" and present selected aspects of his extensive research. Heiner Gembris has intensively studied the development of musicians, their experiences and biographical lines. He was one of the first to extend the perspective from childhood and adolescence to the entire lifespan and to study musicians of all ages, including the aspect of ageing.

Musical partners at this event are Prof. Reginaldo PinheiroProfessor of Singing at the College of Music Freiburg, and Prof. Dr. Anna Immerz, Lied pianist and Professor of Music Physiology at the Freiburg College of Music. Together they will perform songs from their favorite repertoire. Reginaldo Pinheiro and Heiner Gembris will also enter into a discussion about significant experiences in the course of a musician's career from the perspective of the concert singer and long-time university lecturer.

With the lecture by Prof. em. Dr. Heiner Gembris, we are introducing another member and at the same time the chairman of the FZM's scientific-artistic advisory board.

The event is open to the public and admission is free. Afterwards there will be an opportunity for a toast and a personal exchange. We look forward to seeing you there!
