Green wood workshop: Build your own green wood stool

Build a graceful, beautiful and sturdy piece of seating furniture with your own hands using a drawknife on a chisel, without glue or metal joints. Learn about the basic properties of wood at the same time.

Courses in the green wood workshop
The forest house (WaldHaus) has been running a green wood workshop since it opened in 2008. Working with freshly felled wood used to be widespread. It is easier to work with than dried wood. In addition to working on the cutting axe with draw knives, other special techniques and tools are used. Our workshop manager Frank Janson and other experienced instructors teach the art and skill of green woodworking in various courses.

No previous knowledge is required. It is possible to barbecue together over an open fire at lunchtime. Please bring your own barbecue food.

Participation fee: 240 euros incl. materials, minimum age 14 years
