Guitar recital Rossini Hayward

Price: 20.00€

In the concert series of Gitarre-Freiburg e.V., Rossini Hayward will perform again on Sunday, September 29, 6:00 pm in the Freiburg Erlöserkirche (Stadtstr.10, at the old cemetery) after his two very successful performances a few years ago.

"Wonderful and imaginative" (Classical Guitar Magazine), "extraordinary!" (ABC Classic Radio) and "extraordinarily beautiful" (Soundboard Magazine) are words that describe Rossini Hayward's music. He is one of the most interesting and creative guitarists of his generation and is also known in Freiburg for his expressive concerts. His latest CD "Silent Night: Christmas Carols for Guitar", released on the Naxos label, has been streamed millions of times worldwide and his works have been played on many radio stations such as BBC Radio 3 (UK), ABC Classic (Australia) and NPR (USA). His compositions are published by Edition Margaux, his arrangements by Ut Orpheus.

Hayward was born in London in 1981. After completing a degree in engineering at Oxford University, he was awarded a scholarship to study guitar with John Mills at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama. Four years later, he transferred to the College of Music in Freiburg, where he completed his Master of Music degree with Sonja Prunnbauer in 2012. Rossini teaches at the Friedrich Alexander University in Nuremberg and the Bamberg Municipal Music School.

In Freiburg, he will perform works by Dowland, Albéniz, Malats, Villa-Lobos and his own compositions, among others.
