On the 1-hour guided tour of the brewery, you will immerse yourself in the wonderful world of beer brewing and gain first-hand insights into everyday life at the brewery. Our guides will tell you interesting facts and humorous anecdotes about beer from the more than 150-year history of the family brewery. After the fantastic experience tour between tradition and modernity of the Ganter Brewery, you can have a cozy chat in the incomparable atmosphere of our Kesselbar and taste the different beers!

Event location
The flourishing traditional brewery from Freiburg has been in existence for over 150 years and has made a name for itself beyond the city limits with its diverse range of beers. The brewery also regularly hosts well-attended events and parties on its premises.

Ludwig Ganter founded the brewery in 1865 in the house Zum Kindlein Jesu. The Dutch scholar Erasmus of Rotterdam had previously lived in this building for several years. Ganter initially brewed with a small brewing system from the 18th century. Due to excellent sales,
