Viol consort with Thilo Hirsch (Basel)

Viol consort with Thilo Hirsch (Basel)

Program: After a warm-up in the morning, we will play consort works from the Renaissance and early Baroque for four to six viols, with some of the pieces being sent to the course participants in advance for preparation. This enables intensive work on more demanding repertoire. Depending on the number of participants, there is either a six-part consort or two four- to five-part consorts, which are taught alternately. The tuning pitch is a'=415 Hz. A workshop on a viol-specific topic will be offered between the course times. If you have any questions about the course, please contact the course instructor: t.hirsch@arcimboldo.ch. Registration to the IAM: by e-mail info@iam-ev.de, by fax 05461.99 63 10 or via the website www.iam-ev.de. When registering, please indicate which viol(s) you play and which you will bring with you. It is also important for the selection of pieces to know which clefs you can read and how you rate your sight-reading (medium/good/very good). When registering, please let us know whether you would like a room with or without a wet room.

Course director: Hirsch, Thilo.
