Farewell concert for Melise Mellinger

Violinist Melise Mellinger is a truly exceptional talent. With her unwavering passion for new music, but also her sincere, warm-hearted and perceptive personality, she has been a cornerstone of Recherche since its foundation in 1985. Her contribution to the culture of contemporary music cannot be overestimated. It is hard to imagine that there are people in new music who have never heard her play - if not live in concert, then on one of her numerous recordings (many of which are considered reference versions). To our great regret, Melise will be the last founding member of Recherche to leave the ensemble at the end of the 23 / 24 season.

In this farewell concert, we will do our best not to focus on mourning her departure, but to celebrate forty years of exceptional music-making by one of the greats in our profession.

The program will be stylistically diverse and will even feature some compositions that were written especially for this occasion.
