Free painting and drawing - improvisation and composition

If color alone is assigned its autonomous power in the surface and if conceptual, representational forms and content are largely dispensed with, color can unfold in a special way. Compositions of contrasting hues, monochrome solo surfaces or multiple layers of color are the possible fields of work in which we want to make the fundamental relationship between form and color visible. In addition, the personal choice of techniques creates an exciting and instructive juxtaposition of possibilities and expressive qualities. Individual discussions and assistance support and accompany the work process.

Course leader: Lord, Birgid. The course instructor is a freelance visual artist - studied at the State Academy of Fine Arts Karlsruhe - and has been a lecturer for many years, including at the European Art Academy in Trier.
