Transcendental and yet down to earth: Hüma Utku's music is full of contrasts. The Istanbul-born composer and sound artist uses field recordings, synthesizers and ambient sounds to create broad soundscapes that "make the air rattle" and enjoy an ever-growing community of fans and followers. After performing at the Dark Mofo Festival in Australia, Berlin Atonal Festival, Salon IKSV in Istanbul, Hamburger Bahnhof in Berlin and Kunsthaus Zürich, Hüma Utku is now heading to Freiburg for the next concert in our popular FREIBURG.PHIL CLUB series. Together with members of the Freiburg Philharmonic Orchestra, she will perform pieces from her brand new album DRACONES.
