Freiburg Film Forum

As usual, the Freiburg Film Forum takes place every two years. We are looking forward to an exciting and inspiring edition at the end of May 2025.

The Filmforum has set itself the task of illuminating a differentiated picture of the reality of people's lives in different contexts. With the help of digitization, the festival gains diversity and variety in the selection of programs and enables the transnational networking of new audiences. In 2015, the STUDENTS PLATFORM was created as a separate format for young, committed cinema. Students from a wide range of universities use the festival as an opportunity for excursions and film-related exchanges.

In twenty editions of the film forum to date, around 800 films from 90 different countries on all continents have been shown and discussed with the audience.
