Photoshow Ecuador
Thursday, 14/11/2024 / 07:30 PM / Stadtbibliothek (municipal library)
With the photo show "Ecuador", Thorsten Katz and Gaby Fischer-Katz present a hotspot of biodiversity. In the lowland rainforests, they show caimans, sloths, colorful birds and a diverse world of insects. One focus of their trip is the Selva Viva rainforest conservation area, which has been supported for years with the proceeds from the photo shows. We head into the mountains, into mystical cloud forests. In the Andes, we visit deep blue lagoons framed by mountains over 5000 meters high. On the coast, a fishing village and a diverse bird world with blue-footed boobies and frigate birds await us. In addition to the impressive nature, we take a look at ancient indigenous handicrafts and visit the flower and fruit festival in Ambato.
Admission is free.
