I wish I were a chicken, I wouldn't have much to do, I'd lay an egg in the morning and have the evening off... Well, what if you can't lay eggs like Hilde? Then there is a lot of ridicule as well as good advice. Hurt and sad, she leaves the farm and suddenly there is a beautiful egg. Hilde can hardly believe her luck and hatches it. But instead of the expected cuddly chick, a small crocodile hatches...

Sixteen meters of washing line, bed linen, an ironing board, a sewing basket with a darning egg and socks, socks, socks ... a play in which the story develops as if by itself - while hanging up the washing.
