Guiding donkeys. A circular hike on the Schönberg

A wild plant walk around the Schönberg summit near Freiburg-Merzhausen. Accompanied by a trusting pair of donkeys and your wilderness and medicinal herb educator, nature and landscape guide (ZNL-banu) Oliver Haury, we learn how to handle donkeys and practise distinguishing and safely identifying medicinal and tasty plants. You will also learn about numerous possible uses, some traditional customs and stories from the plant world. On this approximately 7 km long trail, you will immerse yourself in the world of our native herbs. Learn to let go of everyday life with the help of two serene donkeys. Draw on the power of young plants that contribute to inner cleansing and purification. Enjoy the numerous panoramic views around the Schönberg summit. Pause and enjoy this limestone-rich promontory. An ancient cultural landscape between the Black Forest and the Upper Rhine. You will receive a plant guide with recipes for wild plant dishes for the hike. Please bring enough to drink, clothing suitable for the weather, a rucksack lunch, mosquito repellent, sun and rain protection and sturdy hiking boots. Please also bring a collection basket or a cloth bag and a pocket knife. Please note that this hike is quite demanding and only suitable for fit, experienced hikers. There are steep downhill sections, and rough rocks and roots line the paths. - Registration required.
