In this weekend course, you will learn the optical and technical basics of digital photography and how to use your own camera properly. In addition to determining optimized default settings on the camera, you will learn subject and theme-related techniques and put them into practice. The topics in detail: - Structure and function of digital SLR and system cameras - Lenses and focal lengths and their use - Correct exposure: Exposure and shutter speeds, ISO - Depth of field: the aperture as a creative tool - Basics of portrait and landscape photography - Optimal use of aperture priority and aperture priority -Avoiding typical mistakes in photography - Useful photographic accessories - Basics of image composition and composition theory Please bring your own SLR or high-quality system camera (bridge cameras are not suitable) and, if available, a tripod.
