Thursday, 25/09/2025 / 07:30 PM - 09:30 PM / Gemeindeheim St. Barbara
Free entry
Free information event for Freiburg residents as part of the "Your roof can do more!" campaign A photovoltaic system on your own home offers many advantages: By producing your own electricity, you can significantly reduce your electricity bill and become independent of the electricity supplier and market prices. With a PV system, you help to reduce CO₂ emissions and protect the environment. Take the opportunity to attend the free information event and find out how you can use the power of the sun to make your own home more sustainable and cost-effective. Johannes Jung, independent photovoltaic consultant at Energieagentur Regio Freiburg, will provide you with comprehensive information on the topic of photovoltaics: from the basics of solar energy and the various installation options to practical tips on how you can make the best use of solar energy for your own home or balcony. Hannah Kistner, climate protection manager at the City of Freiburg, will present the funding opportunities for Freiburg residents. At this event, we will answer the following questions, for example: - What is photovoltaics? - How much electricity can I generate myself? And how much of it can I use myself? - What are suitable locations for a photovoltaic system? - When is a storage system worthwhile for me? - How do I go about planning and what do I need to consider? - Where can I find suitable tradespeople in the area? In addition to technical input, there will be plenty of time for your individual questions. After the presentation, the PV consultants from Energieagentur Regio Freiburg will be happy to answer your questions in person. The event is aimed at citizens of Freiburg - regardless of whether you live in a detached house or apartment building or are part of a homeowners' association (WEG). The event is part of the city's photovoltaic campaign: Your roof can do more!
