Cancelled: The butterfly woman

Book tickets

What would the world look like if we were all a little more butterfly-like? If we also saw trees, insects and rivers as independent and equal inhabitants of the earth? The life of the 17th century painter and biodiversity pioneer Maria Sibylla Merian is the starting point for the interdisciplinary theater performance "The Butterfly Woman". The animal and plant world that the insect researcher describes in her work is in danger of disappearing from the earth. How many of the 20,000 butterfly species will still exist in the future?

On stage, the performers question our responsibility for endangered species and take a playful approach to the question: How can all of today's life forms live together successfully? And what can we learn from insects in this regard?
