Finding inner freedom. Meditation seminar
Friday, 28/02/2025 / 06:00 PM / Waldhof e.V. - Academy for Continuing Education
Our lives are full of obligations and not all of them are of our own choosing. But true freedom is a mental state and when we cultivate it, our external attachments take on a whole new quality. The practice of mindfulness helps us to recognize what makes us unfree: above all, our harsh judgments of ourselves and our tendency to compare ourselves with others to our disadvantage. On this weekend, we want to discover the vast space of inner freedom and find new lightness and joy in life by sitting gently on a cushion or chair in the style of Zen. Participants will listen to talks and guided meditations, sit in silence and do walking meditation in space and in the forest. Apart from two round-table discussions, the seminar takes place in silence, with an optional morning meditation at 7 a.m. and an evening meditation at 7.30 p.m. The food is vegetarian. An overnight stay in the house is essential for building inner silence and for this seminar concept. It is therefore mandatory for participants to book accommodation and meals in the house in addition to the course.
