Heinz Erhardt was and still is the forefather of German comedy, the joker of the economic miracle, the unrivaled joker and jokester, the uncrowned emperor of corny jokes.

The shadow and hand theater virtuoso Günter Fortmeier and the cabaret artists Frank Sauer and Volkmar Staub revive him in the HEINZ-ERHARDT-SHOW and his texts, songs and sketches, without daring the suicidal attempt to imitate him. Each in their own artistic way, they knead the poems until they squeak, they dumble, mime, hip-hop, quote and recite for all they're worth. And the stuff lasts! Even when you're stone-cold sober, Erhardt's timeless sketches and poetic works of humor and laughter still give you the feeling that you've already got a number of grains in your rear sight.
