Disinformation jeopardizes trust in politics and the media, distorts political communication and undermines democratic processes. What consequences does this have for society? This question will be addressed on June 6, 2025 at a conference organized by the Chair of Political Philosophy, Theory and History of Ideas at the University campus Freiburg, followed by a panel discussion.

The conference will bring together political science, historical, philosophical and pedagogical perspectives to examine the dynamics and effects of disinformation in the digital age - and to explore ways to strengthen the democratic public sphere.
