"the last year"

The third evening on Wednesday, October 2, 2024 has the motto "the last year". Only songs by Franz Schubert that were composed in 1828, the year of his death, will be performed. This naturally includes the last song Schubert composed, "Taubenpost", which was posthumously integrated into the "Schwanengesang" cycle by the publisher, as well as "Auf dem Strom", a song that is extended by a horn part.
We are delighted to have the "Classical Singer of the Year" from Iceland, baritone Jóhann Kristinsson, as our guest in Freiburg. He will be accompanied by Burkhard Kehring on the grand piano and the Freiburg horn player Marc Noetzel on the horn.
