CINELATINO 2025

This year, CINELATINO's country focus is on the cinema of the Dominican Republic. We want to give an insight into the current strength of this cinema, its thematic diversity and its original aesthetic approaches by presenting a selection of films ranging from feature films to documentaries and animations.

The thematic focus this time is on Indigenous Amazonia and climate policy. The focus is on the preservation of indigenous cultures and identities amidst the constant threat of illegal and uncontrolled exploitation of their environment. A selection of films by indigenous and non-indigenous filmmakers will deepen our understanding of these issues.

In addition to these focal points, we will of course also be showing numerous other Latin American and Spanish films and inviting exciting guests.
