Think building turnaround - do building turnaround!

Baukreisel is a collective of young architects who are empirically approaching the vision of circular construction. In their projects, they jointly pursue the goal of transferring the building turnaround from theory to practice, from talking to doing. This is done through applied research in close cooperation with universities and institutions or through teaching events in summer schools and lectures. The work of the interdisciplinary team consists of keeping building components in circulation in terms of materials and condition: from dismantling and design to reinstallation, from interior design to the planning of entire buildings. This lecture will focus on reuse practices. Based on various projects of different scales, the challenges of working with the existing will be described and the joy of developing solutions will be shown and discussed.
