Exhibition World Press Exhibition 2024

The World Press Photo Exhibition is the traveling photo exhibition for the world's largest and most renowned competition for press photography. Every year, the World Press Photo Foundation honors the best press photos in the world. A total of 3,851 photographers from 130 countries took part in the competition in 2024.

From devastating conflicts and political upheaval to the climate crisis and the safe passage of migrants, the award-winning works document some of the most pressing issues facing the world today. By bringing together such important stories, the selection promotes a better understanding and awareness of current events while reminding us of the need for press freedom in all parts of the world.

Mohammed Salem's "A Palestinian Woman Embraces the Body of her niece" is the Press Photo of the Year 2024. Inas Abu Maamar (36) cradles the body of her niece Saly (5), who was killed along with her mother and sister when an Israeli missile hit their home in Khan Younis, Gaza.
