Apollon Ensemble: Franz Schubert

A very special treat for lovers of classical music: the Apollon Ensemble (formerly the Ebneter String Quintet) will be making a guest appearance at the Ebneter KulturSommer.
The program for this matinee features Franz Schubert with his Quintet for two violins, viola and two cellos in C major D 956, op. post. 163. Franz Schubert was 31 years old when he composed the work in September 1828. It is therefore his chamber music swan song, as Schubert had already died on November 19 of the same year.

Lisa Immer and Marianne Sohler (violin), Sebastian Wohlfahrth (viola), Juris Teichmanis and Gesine Queyras (cello) will perform.
