Ramona Teuber, Professor of Agricultural Policy and Market Research at the University of Giessen, will talk about the future of our food on Tuesday, October 22 at 7 p.m. at the Catholic Academy Freiburg, Wintererstr. 1, and online.

Teuber emphasizes that the current agricultural and food systems are not sustainable despite high productivity. Many people around the world are suffering from malnutrition or overnutrition, while current production methods are accelerating climate change and the loss of biodiversity. A fundamental transformation of these systems is therefore urgently needed. The lecture will highlight key challenges and possible solutions for food security in harmony with planetary boundaries.

The event is being held in cooperation with the Diocesan Office for Creation and the Environment of the Archdiocese of Freiburg. Admission is free, registration at www.katholische-akademie-freiburg.de.
