8th Freiburg Hiking Marathon

8th Freiburg Hiking Marathon

Price: 20.00€

This will take place on Sunday, September 15, 2024. It is once again a beautiful, varied and scenic route. The first half of the tour is partly on completely new route variants. The hiking marathon has an elevation gain of around 1,200 meters (uphill) and always opens up new perspectives and wonderful views of the surroundings of Freiburg, the landscapes on the Schauinsland (Freiburg's "local mountain"), the magnificent low mountain silhouettes of the Vosges, the Kaiserstuhl and the southern Black Forest.

Start: At 8 am at Wiehre train station in Freiburg, Türkenlouisstrasse 18 (for navigation)
Organizer: Freiburg-Hohbühl chapter of the Black Forest Association
www.freiburg-hohbuehl.de

In the Berglusthaus (after 22 km) there are sandwiches, other food and coffee/tea. There are toilets here. Every participant who completes the entire marathon will receive a certificate.

Finish: 7 p.m. (I will stay at the finish until all participants have arrived)

Every hiker hikes at his/her own risk. Liability of the organizer is excluded. Participants should have an appropriate level of stamina and fitness and be able to complete a hiking marathon of 42 km in a time of 11 hours, including breaks.
