10 years of the Freiburg Blues Festival - a success story

Since it was founded by members of the Freiburg Blues Association, the Freiburg Blues Festival has developed into one of the most renowned blues festivals in Europe. It has been organized by the Bluesfreunde Freiburg e.V. association since 2017, and every year a total of 12 concerts take place at various locations in Freiburg and the surrounding area during the 8-day festival. The hard work has paid off: After winning the German Blues Award in 2020, the festival was once again recognized as the best German blues festival in 2024. On this occasion, we invite you to celebrate the past 10 years of the festival with us.

Experience an impressive exhibition at the Sparkasse Freiburg-Nördlicher Breisgau, which honors the festival's successes from 2014 to 2024. On display are high-quality festival posters by graphic artist Klaus Geiger and large-format fine art prints by photographers Sibylle and Chris Klos. With a keen sense for artists and moments, they have created extraordinary concert photographs. Celebrate a decade of blues with us and experience the highlights of a festival that has inspired not only the city of Freiburg, but the whole of Europe.
