40 YEARS OF ROSA HILFE: (RE)WRITING QUEER HISTORY
Exhibition on the history of queer movements in South Baden
To mark its 40th birthday, Rosa Hilfe Freiburg e.V. is opening its archives for the first time and making hidden treasures of the movement's history accessible in an exhibition.
The exhibition documents the development of Rosa Hilfe from its foundation on August 27, 1985 as an advice center for and by gay men to its current form as a place for all queers with advice, self-help, youth, cultural and remembrance work.
With photographs, flyers, posters and much more, visitors experience the history of a movement that tells of persecution and resistance and extends to the colorful LGBTQIA*+ community today and in the future and shapes the queer history of the region.
